PODCASTS Podcasting, a portmanteau of Apple's "iPod" and "broadcasting", is a method of publishing files to the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new files automatically by subscription, usually at no cost. In short, podcasting allows us to "publish"a stream of audio broadcasts. Here's how it works: we publish what is called an RSS feed, and using an aggregator, or 'podcatcher' like iTunes, your computer will automatically download each new audio fiule as soon as it becomes available!
The RSS feed for our stream is: http://oahuchurch.org/podcast.cfm
Simply copy and paste that address in to your aggreagtor, and you are on your way. And by the way, within about a week, we'll be listed as a podcast in the iTunes Music Store! It's free! Just go to the ITunes Music Store, choose 'Podcasts" and search for the Oahu Church of Christ. Click 'Subscribe" and you're done! Every time we release a new audio file, your computer will automatically download it!

Web Store: Many of you have asked, how can I get books and recordings? I'd like to get something while I remember I want it, and on Congregational Sundays when I have seven kids and a... You get the idea. Once we have the main features of the site completed, we'll be adding our inventory of books and other items here - where you can order online! We'll let you know as soon as it is open.
We will be making blog space available to those who request it. At this point, we can't really say who will blog, what they will blog about, or when. You can be sure that what goes here will be refreshing and informative, and that you will want to come back regularly.

Photo Galleries: This church is a family that likes to do things together. As we play softball, enjoy holidays, and just enjoy one another, we have a great number of photographers who love to catch all the action. Vote Now! People often say, "well, nobody asked my opinion!" Well, Vote Now! is your opportunity to voice your opinion in short and some longer polls. It is one way we can solicit feedback on topics of interest, as well as a way for the Staff to get feedback on specific ideas and proposals.
Prayer Requests: You may have heard the recent discussion about how we can best get prayer requests before the church. Rest assured, if you submit it here, it will get to Staff immediately. Of course, your request will be handled with delicacy and gentleness, and we respect your privacy. Don't forget to add Good News prayer requests - specifically, whene prayers are answered, please submit a new prayer request to let us know, and so we can pray about that, too.
Downloads: The mother lode! Here you will find audio recordings of some of our best sermons, (available as podcasts, too! for more info, see the sidebar), lessons, study series and more. When you want to spend some quality time getting close to God, or you are looking for inspiration for you or a friend, here is where you'll find it.
Tithe Online: Self-explanatory, but something we hope to do in the future. This is a great feature we'll add later, but it's not ready for prime time just yet.
Site Tools: Links to our site map, the Search function, and a form you can fill out to invite your friends to come to church, or come visit the website.
